Why The Thumper Equine Massager?
How it works is as follows: The Thumper equine massager increases blood flow to the muscles you use it on. Firstly, this feeds the muscles with the necessary nutrients. Secondly, this carries away harmful ‘fatigue products’, like lactic acid. So in layman’s terms, you are feeding the muscle, which speeds up recovery, which enables it to grow, and basically makes your horse stronger. The increased blood flow also removes lactic acid, which is the by-product of a hard workout, and which causes stiffness, spasms, and pain.
Is it reliable, and will it last?
Well, I’m ashamed to admit that I’m not really the type to meticulously take care of things like this. You won’t ever find me taking it apart and trying to clean it or service it in any way. I have literally had mine for around 5 or 6 years now, and I’ve done nothing to it. I use it every week and it honestly hasn’t missed a beat. And there’s absolutely no sign of it slowing down. By today’s standards, this thing is legendary.
Will it pay for itself in the long run?
Well considering I’ve had mine for 6 years and haven’t paid for a physio or equine massage once in that time, the answer is yes. I have a good chiropractor, that sees my horses from time to time. If your horse isn’t aligned properly, no amount of massage will give him any relief. And the rest I do with my thumper. I’m sure my thumper has already paid for itself several times over.
