LeMieux half pad

I would have to say that the majority of my horses go in a ‘fluffy’, which is the name they have in our yard. Don’t ask, because I’m not sure how they got that name. They just give that extra bit of padding and comfort that the horses deserve. If your saddle is already quite tight over the shoulder and wither, then don’t use one of these. It’s a bit like wearing two pairs of socks on an already tight-fitting pair of shoes. If you have a little breathing room, or your saddle sits a bit low over the wither these LeMieux Pro Half Lambskin Saddle Pads are brilliant. I like to leave a little room for these saddle pads if possible when fitting my saddles.

LeMieux half pad

The LeMieux half pad is made from 100% natural Australian Merino lambskin, which is much denser & softer than the older sheep wool used in many rival saddle pads. The new clear spine is swept up at the wither, which relieves pressure on the spine, and allows airflow. You should use Lemieux half saddle pads; because nothing is better for a horse’s back than natural wool. Furthermore, it promotes blood circulation and is fully breathable, hence maintaining optimum temperature in summer and winter It regulates humidity controlling the breeding of bacteria and viruses It also prevents bruising, scarring, chaffing, and pressure sores. I just love the LeMieux half pad. I usually make sure there is enough room in my saddle fit to allow for one. They just add another level of comfort that I feel my horses deserve. They last for ages and really wash well. I have had some of mine for a few years. After that time they may not be smart enough for shows but are perfect for day-to-day use. They also come in a variety of colours, so there’s never a problem matching them to your tack. I must add that it’s still important to make sure your saddle fits well. LeMieux half pads do add a level of comfort and can also help with your saddle fit. However, they cant rectify a poorly fitting saddle.
