Best horse riding spurs
These are my favorite brands of horse riding spurs. I’ve used spurs all my life. I’ve tried all kinds of brands and makes, but I’d have to say these are my favorite brands. I have arrived at this decision mainly because all these brands have a large variety. This is especially important because all horses are different, so it’s never really a case of one size fits all. What may work for a small flighty horse will definitely not work for a big lazy horse.
The second reason why I believe these brands have the best spurs is that they are hard-wearing. Other brands I have used can sometimes buckle out of shape, which can make them work unevenly. By that I mean left could be sharper than right, or visa versa. This can have a major impact on your horse’s schooling without you even knowing about it.
And lastly, they’re comfortable to wear. To be honest, I don’t actually know why these spurs are more comfortable than some other brands. They just are. I guess they have all done their research and development well enough to know how to manufacture a comfortable spur. But I can tell you from experience, that there aren’t many things more annoying than having a spur rub the side of your foot or ankle all day.
So take your time, and go through all the reviews carefully before you make your choice.
